The Prime Minister is congratulating small island nations for their powerful voice at CHOGM

The Prime Minister is congratulating small island nations for their powerful voice at CHOGM

Chris Luxon, in Samoa for the meeting, has announced the Government will contribute $20-million for the Pacific Resilience Facility.

The money will be used to encourage public and private sector spending, to prepare Pacific countries for natural disasters, and build resilience against climate change

Mr Luxon says the topic of climate change has been at the centre of conversations.

He says the small nations of the Pacific and Caribbean represented themselves well, and spoke up powerfully.
