    Spring-like weather means a case of four seasons in one day across New Zealand


    Much of the South Island's West Coast is under orange heavy rain watch - with up to 400 millimetres expected in Westland.

    There are watches in place for rain in Otago, and wind in Canterbury High Country.

    Meanwhile Metservice forecaster Gerard Bellam says some areas of the North Island are expecting high temperatures.

    He says Hastings expected to reaching 29 degrees today and 30 tomorrow....nine degrees above average for this time of the year..
