    Kane Williamson's picked up right where he left off in cricket's Plunket Shield


    In his first hit-out since recovering from a groin injury - the Black Caps batter's made 60 as Northern Districts have reached 193 for 5 at tea on day one of their game against Auckland in Hamilton.

    Williamson's return comes ahead of a crucial home test series against England - set to start on Thursday next week.

    Meanwhile - Black Caps fast bowler Will O'Rourke's bowled 11 wicket-less overs for Canterbury in their clash with Central Districts in Nelson.

    The Stags are 131 for 4 at tea.

    Wellington are 222 for 5 against Otago in Dunedin.
