One of the most vocal groups supporting the Treaty Principles Bill has had its say

Hobson's Pledge was among dozens of oral submitters to Parliament's Justice Committee today.

Thomas Newman says the group supports the Treaty's first and third principles, but argues the second doesn't go far enough to ensure equality.

He claims the Treaty legitimises things that undermine equal rights.

He says it's claimed the Treaty justifies co-governance and privileged access to consultation - which violates equality.
