    Illegally slaughtering and selling pigs - has ended in a woman being fined more than 25-thousand-dollars, and a man given 300 hours community work


    Aucklanders Suli Rachael Rejoice Adimim, and Bruce Baru Luke Vunipola - were sentenced in the Papakura District Court on charges under Animal Products and Welfare Acts.

    Food Safety deputy director-general Vincent Arbuckle says their unregistered homekill business avoided vital food safety checks.

    He says they earned nearly 60-thousand dollars. illegally selling 222 pigs and four sheep.
