Taupo's agreement has been extended until 2028, and Christchurch's Ruapuna Raceway will join the calendar in 2026.

Ruapuna will benefit from a multimillion-dollar upgrade ahead of the event, including track resurfacing and a re-built supporters' lounge.

The project is being driven by the Canterbury Car Club, who have already raised nearly one million dollars towards the first stage of development.
