Another airline's increasing capacity to Christchurch Airport over summer

Another airline's increasing capacity to Christchurch Airport over summer

China Southern is returning to the Garden City from November, with a 26 percent boost in capacity and a longer operating window - which includes the Chinese New Year.

The Guangzhou-Christchurch service will initially operate five times a week, before it becomes daily from mid-December.

Qantas and Singapore Airlines have also announced more flights to Christchurch in the summer months.

China is New Zealand's third largest tourism market, with nearly 170-thousand holidaymakers last year.
