But MetService says most of the recent deluge, is on its way out
A heavy rain watch is in place from two this afternoon, in the Wairoa District, heading into the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Metereologist Luis Fernandes , says the South Island is relatively settled, but quite cloudy, especially across eastern parts.
He says we're going to see cold and drizzly weather continuing across Canterbury and Otago.
Meanwhile, NZTA warns there are multiple road closures in the Taranaki and Waikato, districts, due to slips.
