Christchuch Casino says it takes responsibility for major anti-money laundering failures

Christchuch Casino says it takes responsibility for major anti-money laundering failures

An investigation from the Department of Internal Affairs found breaches of several obligations - including the lack of a robust anti-money laundering programme.

Casino Chief Executive Brett Anderson, has apologised to the Christchurch community and casino stakeholders for the failures.

He says it has remediation plans in place to ensure it meets its requirements.

The casino and DIA, recommend the High Court impose a penalty of just over five-million dollars.
