New Zealand golfer Dame Lydia Ko has survived the cut at a wind-swept Open in Wales

New Zealand golfer Dame Lydia Ko has survived the cut at a wind-swept Open in Wales

Ko shot up 17 places into a tie for 36th at even par after a two-under par second round.

The afternoon wave felt the full force of the Welsh wind...with the cut line moving from even par to two over as scores soared.

Incredibly, first round leader Eri Okayama missed the cut - following an opening 67 with a disastrous 81.
