American pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL football player Travis Kelce have announced their engagement.
In a post jointly posted on Instagram, the couple wrote "your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married", along with photos showing Kelce proposing to Swift.
The engagement has been welcomed widely by fans on social media, with more than 10 million likes on their Instagram post in about an hour.
The NFL also offered congratulations.
Swift and Kansas City Chiefs players Kelce have been dating for two years.
It is unclear when and where the two 35-year-olds got engaged.
Kelce, a star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and a Super Bowl champion, and Swift started dating in 2023.
The pair first began dating after Kelce expressed interest in her on his podcast.
Their relationship has since been documented in countless shots of Swift celebrating at Chiefs games and fan videos of Kelce dancing along at Swift’s Eras concert tour as it travelled the globe.
The news also comes ahead of the release of Swift's 12th studio album in October.
Swift announced The Life of a Showgirl release date on Kelce and his brother's podcast, igniting a media frenzy.
Swift has become one of the world's biggest celebrities, with her music topping charts and her most recent Eras tour boosting the economies of many host countries.
