Jack Osbourne has blasted Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters after he made scathing remarks about Ozzy Osbourne after his death

Speaking to The Independent Ink on August 12, Waters, 81, dismissed Ozzy's pioneering heavy metal band Black Sabbath, insisting he "couldn't care less" about the Paranoid rockers

He said: "I don't care about Black Sabbath, I never did, I have no interest.

    "I couldn't care less."

He went on: "Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him, in his whatever that state that he was in his whole life. We'll never know... Although he was all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense."

The comments sparked immediate backlash from Ozzy's son Jack, who took to his Instagram Stories on September 2 to deliver a blistering response.

He fumed: "Hey @rogerwaters. F*** You. How pathetic and out of touch you've become.

"The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bull*** in the press."

In a follow-up post, Jack added: "My father always thought you were a c*** - thanks for proving him right (clown emoji)," alongside the hashtag "#f***rogerwaters".

Ozzy passed away on July 22 at age 76, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. His death prompted an outpouring of tributes from fans and fellow musicians across the globe.

Jack defending his father comes after his sister, Kelly Osbourne, hit out at WWE star Becky Lynch over her Ozzy comments.

During WWE Raw in Birmingham on August 25, Becky said that Ozzy was "the only good thing" about the city, prompting boos from the audience.

Reacting, Kelly said: "[Becky Lynch] you are a disrespectful dirtbag! Birmingham would not p*** on you if you were on fire. #birminghamforever. Shame on the WWE for allowing such things to be said about my father and his home!!!"
