Low cost but high impact upgrades are set to make Selwyn's intersections safer

The local council's putting 1.2-million-dollars into additional safety signage across many of the district's rural roads.
Work starts today at the Shands, Weedons, and Springston Rolleston Road intersection, a common area for crashes.
Operational delivery lead Gareth Morgan says with the area's rapid population growth, their intersections are only getting busier.
He says they're implementing these strategies to remind people to stop and ultimately save lives.
