Police are celebrating the disruption of organised crime - in one of their largest ever cannabis hauls

Police are celebrating the disruption of organised crime - in one of their largest ever cannabis hauls

Over a month, Operation Beryl busted 120 properties, seizing 11-thousand illicit plants, estimated to be worth more than 58-million dollars.

Thirty people have been arrested - most of them Vietnamese nationals.

Detective Inspector Callum McNeill says his main concern is the money going to trans-national organised crime groups.

He says it's going on to fund other criminal activities.
