Auckland Police are urging anyone with information about the death of US student Kyle Whorrall in April - to come forward, after a new development

The 33-year-old died after an assault in Meadowbank.

A 16-year-old's been charged with murder, and a 33-year-old woman with being an accessory after the fact.

Detective Inspector Glenn Baldwin says new information led them to a Glen Innes reserve yesterday.

He says a search uncovered a machete, concealed within vegetation - which has now been sent for forensic testing.
