    Five people have been arrested after a broad daylight aggravated burglary in Albany in Auckland


    Police say yesterday morning around 11.20, the group entered a commercial premises on The Avenue and were taking items when an altercation started.

    They say the store owner was assaulted and received minor injuries.

    The offenders took off in a vehicle but were quickly found by police.

    Five young men aged between 17 and 21 have been charged with shoplifting.

    One of the men has also been charged with aggravated assault.
