Frankie Grande has undergone cervical spine surgery

The 42-year-old actor-and-singer had been experiencing "pain and neurological symptoms for a while" so underwent a planned procedure in order to "relieve pressure" on the nerves in his neck.

Captioning a photo of him lying in a hospital bed, all hooked up to wires and wearing a neck brace, Frankie wrote on Instagram on Monday (22.12.25): "Wink if you're freshly repaired.

"Today I had a planned cervical spine surgery to relieve pressure on nerves in my neck that have been causing pain and neurological symptoms for a while.

"The procedure went exactly as expected, no surprises, no drama (for once), just very precise work by an incredible medical team. (sic)"

The Big Brother star- who is "sore" and "tired" - then detailed what his medical team did during the procedure.

He continued: "They removed bone and tissue that were compressing the nerves, giving my spinal cord, disks, and radiating nerves the space it needs to heal and function properly."

Frankie - whose sister is 32-year-old Wicked: For Good actress Ariana Grande - has to now rest up for a month before he can get on with his life again.

He said: "Now comes 4 weeks of healing, rest, physical therapy, and being nicer to my body than I usually am. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

"I'm sore, I'm tired, but I'm safe, I'm relieved, and I'm already feeling hopeful. This was a necessary step so I can get back on my feet, back on stage, and back to living fully without pain running the show. (sic)"

The Rock of Ages and Mamma Mia! Broadway performer ended his message by thanking everyone around him for their love and support.

He said: "Thank you for the love, prayers, messages, and support. Truly felt and deeply appreciated. This is healing in progress.

"See you soon ... stronger, steadier, and standing tall. (sic)"

His fans rushed to the post's comments section to say how relieved they were to hear that Frankie's surgery went well.

One follower wrote: "OMG Sending you ALL the healing vibes!! I'm so glad the surgery went well! Love you so much! (sic)."

A second supporter penned: "Congratulations! Wishing you a speedy recovery and lots of peace after you heal."

And a third person left: "Wishing you peaceful and stress-free convalescence!"
