David Beckham has sold his Miami penthouse for $24.6 million, making $4.8 million profit on the plush pad

The 50-year-old former footballer forked out $19.8 million on the condo in 2020, but he is now said to have offloaded the property for nearly $25 million, according to the South Florida Business Journal.

Designed by Zaha Hadid, who died in 2016, Beckham's former luxury Miami abode is on the 59th floor of One Thousand Museum, which is one of the tallest buildings in the city.

Beckham's offloaded pad has five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms as well as a balcony affording picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The penthouse was also a dream home for those with a helicopter, because the building featured Miami's first helipad.

As well as being able to get a chopper over to their comfortable condo, David and his wife Victoria Beckham could use the One Thousand Museum's double-level gym and spa.

And they could splash about in the tower's infinity-edge pool.

According to the New York Post newspaper, property records show ex-England captain David's London-based company Beckham Brand Limited splashed out $19.8 million on the 9,200-square-foot penthouse in 2020.

But David and Victoria, 51, aren't cutting ties across the pond - despite their family feud with US-based son Brooklyn Beckham, 26 - because they still own a $72.25 million Miami Beach mansion.

Former Manchester United star David has close ties to the city, after he co-founded soccer club Inter Miami.

The star recently admitted co-owning the football club has been the "biggest challenge" of his career.

He told People: "When we first announced it, I thought we'd have the team up and running in a few years.

"It's been the biggest challenge that I've had in my career and my business life, but it's been the most rewarding."
