    Bruno Mars arrested

Bruno Mars was arrested on suspicion of drug possession after being caught by hotel staff in Las Vegas yesterday (18.09.10).

Bruno Mars was arrested on suspicion of drug possession in Las Vegas yesterday (18.09.10).

The ‘Just The Way You Are’ singer was taken into custody by police in the early hours of yesterday Sunday after security at the city’s Hard Rock Hotel confronted him in a bathroom and reportedly found him with an illegal substance.

Bruno - who is best known for co-writing and appearing on the songs ‘Billionaire’ with Travie McCoy and 'Nothin' On You' with B.o.B - had performed at the hotel earlier in the night. It is not known what type of drug he was in possession of when he was caught.

Earlier on Saturday (17.09.10), Bruno – real name Peter Hernandez – had tweeted: "Come See Me @ the Hard Rock 2nite!! VEGAS!! (sic)"

Bruno, 23, is thought to have later been released by police, and allowed to continue his current promotional tour by heading to the state of Texas, where he later tweeted: “Texas is dope! Im in Dallas rite now looking foward to meeting some folks @ the radio stations. Tune in for a special live performance (sic)."

It is not yet known if Bruno has officially been charged with drug possession or will have to appear in court.

The singer is set to tour North America with Maroon 5, One Republic and Travie McCoy in October, before heading to perform dates in Europe.
