Fire crews have been keeping watch for flare-ups at an Auckland restaurant after a huge blaze

Fire crews have been keeping watch for flare-ups at an Auckland restaurant after a huge blaze

Twelve fire trucks were sent to the corner of Dominion Road and Louvain Avenue about 9.30 last night.

Fire and Emergency assistant area commander, Stephan Sosich , says the fire began in the kitchen area of the restaurant.

He says the fire got into the ceiling, and was brought under control about midnight.

An investigator is due at the building this morning.
