Drew Barrymore got a tattoo on her talk show on Thursday (06.05.21)

The 46-year-old actress welcomed 'Ink Master' star Ryan Ashley onto her eponymous programme and had him etch the words 'Home is where we are' onto her arm during the programme, because the phrase means a lot to her

She said: “I am so excited I came up with this phrase and I’ve been saying it to myself for the last five years it’s, ‘Home is where we are.’ You know if you are somewhere on vacation or you are in a rental or you are in transition or you have to move from state to the next, if you’re together, that’s where home is."

The 'Whip It!' star showed off the inking later in the show and explained how the message related to her daughters Olive, eight, and Frankie, seven, who she has with ex-husband Will Kopelman.

She said: “Home is where we are and wherever life takes you, if you are lucky enough to be alongside of people you love then to me, that became the definition of home. Thank you for putting this most important life lesson on my arm for me…

"To my daughters if you ever get to see this episode, you are my home and I love you more than anything you are the reason I understand my whole life because of you so thank you, you are my home.”

Meanwhile, the 'Charlie's Angels' actress recently admitted she felt like she'd "failed as a human being" when her marriages to Will, Jeremy Thomas and Tom Green ended in divorce.

She said: “When I got divorced it was such a tragedy for me personally that I really failed as a human being.”
