A gloomy flu outlook this winter

A gloomy flu outlook this winter

Local Democracy reports Counties Manukau District Health Board says the flu season could rage until August.

Middlemore hospital has been seeing up to 400 people turning up in ED daily.

Immunisation Advisory Centre Medical Director, Nikki Turner, says the virus hasn't been circulating for the past two years.

She says now it's back, it may last longer and be more severe.
