Food price inflation remains at close to three year lows, however some areas are still lagging behind

Data from Stats NZ shows food prices increased 0.8 percent in the 12 months to April.
The slight increase is driven by grocery items, particularly chocolate, olive oil and potato chips.
Herald Business Editor at large Liam Dann says the main driver of inflation right now - is non-tradables.
He says things like wages and insurance are hitting businesses - t take longer to flow through.
