The future of Synlait Milk Shareholders is dependent on Thursday's vote, on whether to accept a 130-million dollar loan from a major Chinese shareholder.
a2 Milk will heavily influence the outcome, but is yet to advise which way it will go.
Synlait Chair George Adams says they're in constant dialogue with the shareholder.
Adams says there is nothing Machiavellian about being kept in the dark, but they will hopefully learn what a2 intends to vote before Thursday.
