Liam and Noel Gallagher hint at Oasis reunion ahead of the band's 30th anniversary

The brothers behind one of the biggest bands of the nineties have hinted they don't look back in anger and a reunion is on the cards.

Oasis members Liam and Noel Gallagher have sent the internet into a frenzy this morning, posting identical videos which hint at the band reuniting ahead of its 30th anniversary this week

The brothers, who have been locked in a bitter feud for 15 years tweeted identical videos on X, which say August 27, 8am

It is likely this will drop at 8am UK time.

British newspapers including the Sun have reported the band has secured a secret deal which will see them tour together in 2025.

The band dropped its debut album, the fastest selling in UK history at the time, on August 30, 1994.

Here's what we know so far.

Has Oasis confirmed they will reunite?

On Sunday Liam Gallagher began to drop hints on X that something big was coming.

"I never did like that word FORMER," he wrote.

He also shared several news articles reporting on rumours of a reunion.

Then, this morning both Noel and Liam Gallagher posted identical videos with the date of August 27, 8am.

    Will Oasis tour?

The Guardian and the Sun have reported that the band will play 10 nights at Wembley Stadium and gigs at Heaton Park in Manchester.

If that happens, it would smash the record set by Taylor Swift when she played the iconic venue eight times this year.

The singer became the record holder for the most shows played at Wembley for a solo act.

Other reports have suggested they could headline Glastonbury Festival and Heaton Park.

When a fan posted on X that Heaton Park is "terrible for concert venues", Liam Gallagher replied: "see you down the front you big f****".

    Why did Oasis break-up?

Wednesday marks 15 years since Noel Gallagher quit the band.

On August 28, 2009, the siblings' continuous feuding boiled over into a scuffle backstage before they were set to perform at Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

The next day, Oasis was over.

In a statement on the band's website at the time Noel Gallagher said he could longer work with his brother Liam after a series of arguments, in a statement on the band's website.

"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer," Noel said.

In the years that followed, the rift between the brothers grew, with both trading barbs at each other through the media.

What have they been up to since?

Liam Gallagher is currently on the Definitely Maybe 30 Years Tour celebrating the anniversary of the album.

Former Oasis guitarist Paul Arthurs (Bonehead) joined him on the tour.

Since the break-up, both brothers have released their own music and toured separately.

Noel Gallagher formed the band High Flying Birds and released several albums.

It is unclear if the other members of the band will be back for the reunion.

Rhythm and bass guitarists Andy Bell and Gem Archer have not posted about it on their accounts.

But one thing is for certain, fans eagerly await tomorrow's announcement.
