The winter spending slump has ended as Kiwis head towards Christmas

The winter spending slump has ended as Kiwis head towards Christmas

Worldline NZ data shows consumer spending through Core Retail merchants reached 2.89 billion dollars in August - down half a percent from the same time last year.

Chief Sales Officer, Bruce Proffit, says there's no doubt it's been a tough winter.

He says the seasonal lift in spending from now into Christmas, will be extra welcome this year.
