A West Coast spirits producer's eyeing up significant expansions - due to a large level of investor interest

Reefton Distilling Co. has exceeded its target investment offer of one million dollars, to scale up their whisky production.

The company only recently expanded into the whisky market.

Chief executive Patsy Bass says the funds will go towards increasing their whisky production - and positioning the company for the international market.

She says it's early days, but is expecting those conversations to ramp up in the next 12 months.
