An electrician accidentally responsible for a builder's death - has had his licence suspended for two years

Nelson builder, Craig Johnston, died from an electrical fault in 2020, working at a property where Stephen Burton had carried out work weeks earlier.

This year, Burton was sentenced to eight months home detention and ordered to pay 150-thousand for emotional harm.

The Electrical Workers Registration Board has today, decided to continue his licence suspension until 2026 - or until he's completed competency assessments.
