Margot Robbie insisted on filming a scene for 'Wolf of Wall Street' completely naked

The 32-year-old actress starred as Naomi Lapaglia in Martin Scorsese's 2013 drama film and admitted that while the director suggested that she could wear a robe in one particular scene, she decided to completely without clothes in order to be true to the character

Speaking on the 'Talking Pictures' podcast, she explained: "[Scorsese] said, 'Maybe you can be wearing a robe if you're not comfortable.' But that's not what she would do in that scene.

"The whole point is that she's going to come out completely naked-that's the card she's playing right now."

The 'Barbie' actress was also meant to kiss co-star Leonardo DiCaprio during her audition, but admitted that something took hold of her and she decided to simply "wallop him in the face" instead.

She added: "I thought, 'I could kiss Leonardo DiCaprio right now, and that would be awesome. I can't wait to tell all of my friends this.' And then I thought nah. And just walloped him in the face.

"It was dead silent for what felt like an eternity but was probably three seconds."

Margot initially worried her actions would result in her "arrest" on the spot but both Leo and the director simply "burst out laughing" following her spur-of-the-moment decision.

"They just burst out laughing. Leo and Marty were laughing so hard. They said 'That was great'.

"I was thinking, 'I'm going to get arrested, I'm pretty sure that's assault or battery. Not only will you never work again, actually you will go to jail for this, you idiot.' And also why did you have to hit him so hard? You should have done it lighter."
