Helicopters are in the air over Aoraki Mount Cook, as the search for three missing climbers finally resumes

Police say they're gravely concerned for two American men in their 50s and a Canadian, who flew into Plateau Hut on Saturday, but missed their Monday pick up.

Weather conditions early today remain calm - but MetService is warning of showers, possibly heavy and thundery, this afternoon.
