    A brisk start is expected for the 105 boats taking part in today's Sydney to Hobart yacht race


    Northeasterly winds and northeasterly sea breezes have been forecast heading into the first afternoon and evening of the 630-nautical mile race.

    Race commentator Peter Shipway says the winds could hit up to 35 knots.



    Racing gets underway at 3pm.
