A man's been charged with murder, attempted murder, and six other charges - over the death of Nelson police officer Lynn Fleming

She and fellow Senior Sergeant Adam Ramsay were hit by a vehicle in the early hours of Wednesday - he's now in stable condition.

A candle-lit vigil is planned for this evening, and a moment's silence will be held at Nelson Cathedral this Sunday.

Nelson Deputy Mayor Rohan O'Neill Stevens says her impact has been felt in her work as a Police officer and a netball coach.
