    Another manhunt is underway, after another case of a person escaping Police custody


    Police say 30-year-old Samir Derek Belhajjam fled a transport vehicle -- following an appearance in Taupo District Court -- about six last night.

    He was wearing green prison-issue shorts, and an orange hi-vis vest.

    Newstalk ZB's Lachlan Rennie says Police are warning people not to approach him, but instead, call 111 immediately.

    He says this follows two incidents where prisoners escaped from Waikato Hospital, including one who was filmed shimmying a pipe from the eighth floor.
