Microchipping pets is now common practise

A Companion Animals NZ survey has looked into the habits of pet owners across the country.
It's found a majority de-sex animals - and nearly 90 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats are micro-chipped.
The chips clearly identify animals and can help with finding lost pets.
CANZ's Natalie Warren says it's a really pleasing trend.
