A man's been arrested, after allegedly stealing a Holden to flee from Police, after crashing another stolen Holden

Police say the man crashed into a truck in Shannon on Wednesday, and was then seen in another stolen car before fleeing officers on foot.

They claim he let off a gun during the chase, which was dropped on the street and found by a member of the public.

Police say the driver then went into someone's sleep-out, the armed offender squad attended, and the man eventually came out.

The 35-year-old's appeared in Levin District Court on a dozen charges.
