    Fire and Emergency NZ has been working to rescue a number of people down a bank following a crash near Waikato's Paeroa


    Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash at the State Highway 26 and the Paeroa-Tahuna Road intersection at Tirohia around 5 this afternoon.

    The road is closed, and motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
