Crusaders coach Rob Penney believes Richie Mo'unga can get back into the All Blacks without being a regular starter at Super Rugby level

Crusaders coach Rob Penney believes Richie Mo'unga can get back into the All Blacks without being a regular starter at Super Rugby level

The 31-year-old will be All Blacks eligible again from October next year - after signing an 18 month deal starting in July.

Mo'unga will rejoin the Crusaders in 2027 ahead of that year's World Cup - and Penney says the talent they have at first five means the 56-test veteran could drop in and out of the side.

Mo'unga will prepare for a potential All Blacks return by playing for Canterbury in next year's NPC.
