Labour MP Camilla Belich's Employment Relations Amendment Bill has passed its third reading in the House this evening.
The changes means employers won't be able to bake pay secrecy clauses into contracts - and take legal action against employees who break them.
The bill received cross-party support, with 102 votes in favour.
ACT and New Zealand First voted against it - with a combined 19 votes.
