One of the Wellington Phoenix's best players is back as new head coach Bev Priestman continues to build an impressive women's roster

Former star academy graduate Macey Fraser has come home from the United States, after the Football Ferns midfielder endured an up-and-down stint in the US NWSL with Utah.

The 23-year-old wasn't getting the game time she needed in her favoured position ... then an initial loan back to Wellington turned into a three-year contract.

Fraser but says her time with the Royals was amazing, if frustrating too.
