ASB Classic men's singles champion Jakub Mensik is commending the Maori traditions he encountered in his time at Stanley Street

The 20-year-old Czech beat Sebastian Baez in two sets in the final, claiming a second ATP title.

Mensik says receiving a haka after his win was a great way to finish his time in Auckland - as he turns his attention to the first major of the season.

Mensik heads to Melbourne as the 16th seed for a first round matchup against Spaniard Pablo Carreño Busta .
