Logan Paul tried to bid more than $1 million for Hulk Hogan's old wrestling boots

The YouTuber turned WWE superstar was in the running to become the new owner of the late wrestling icon's blood-soaked and autographed gear from WrestleMania 1, but he lost out after reaching his own personal limit.

Taking to X on Sunday (01.03.26), he wrote: "Stayed up until 2am in a bidding war trying to win Hulk Hogan's worn [and] signed boots from Wrestlemania 1.

"The inscription read 'These are my real boots with my real blood on them from MSG, Hulk Hogan.'

"I tapped out at $1,021,000. Gg to the winner."

The boots were sold for an eye watering $1,037,000.

Hogan - who died aged 71 in July 2025 - is one of professional wrestling's most recognisable names of all time, and he helped make the first WrestleMania a pop culture phenomenon in 1985.

Over four decades later, Heritage Auctions has posted a pair of The Hulkster's yellow boots from that show, with early bidding at $105,000 before they eventually sold for almost 10 times that amount.

Hogan - whose real name was Terry Bollea - signed them in silver ink, writing: "These are my real boots with my real blood on them from MSG."

The listing noted that they have been photo matched to the boots he wore at WrestleMania 1 when he and Mr. T beat 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper and 'Mr Wonderful' Paul Orndorff.

The description reads: "The yellow boots offered here are quintessential to Hogan's look, complementing his red and yellow color scheme that would go on to define his image throughout the 1980s and beyond.

"With their vibrant hue and unmistakable silhouette, these boots became visual trademarks of Hogan's larger-than-life persona and his dominance in the squared circle.

"They are not just part of his gear - they're symbols of a cultural movement that helped usher professional wrestling into the modern era.

"This particular pair has been professionally photo matched to imagery from WrestleMania I, providing rock-solid provenance and direct connection to one of the most influential events in WWE history."

Although Logan missed out on the boots, he recently made history by selling a Pokémon trading card - the Pikachu Illustrator - for a record $16.5 million, having bought it for $5.3 million in 2021.
