Val Chmerkovskiy has been hospitalised with vertigo during the Dancing With The Stars live tour

The 39-year-old dancer was due to take to the stage at the Prairie Home Alliance Theater in Peoria, Illinois on Sunday (01.03.26) but he pulled out of the show after being rushed to hospital.

He said in an Instagram video: "What's up friends. So yeah, my bad.

"I ended up out here in Peoria, but the doc was cool - shout out to Claire our [physical therapist] on tour, and everyone on our tour for rallying.

"I've just been having vertigo for the past couple of days and had it yesterday.

"I was able to get through [yesterday's] show, and then we ran some tests, and again we're on the bus.

"I guess that kind of, once that little crystal in your equilibrium - again I'm learning a lot - once it goes out, it's really hard to get it back in.

"I'm just spinning everywhere. So when I'm on the bus, and it's moving... I just woke up and couldn't get myself together.

"Hopefully tomorrow's a day off, and I'll be back on Tuesday."

In the caption he described the health scare as a "small hiccup", while he also took to his Instagram Story to send his apologies to the fans.

He wrote: "My apologies to all the fans that came out to see us today in Peoria. Thank you to my fellow castmates for rallying.

"Little bump in the road. I'll be good to go asap.

"It takes quite literally me not being able to stand on my feet to keep me off that stage. Unfortunately, I just couldn't make it tonight."

Meanwhile, the official Dancing With The Stars

account shared an update and wished him the best.

They added: "Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen and last-minute illness, Val will not able to perform in today's show.

"He is under medical care and we are wishing him a fast and speedy recovery."

Val is a three-time finalist on Dancing With The Stars, including last year when he and Alix Earle were runners up to Robert Irwin and Witney Carson.

He reached the final in in 2022 alongside Gabby Windey, and won the following year when he was paired with Xochitl Gomez.
