    Five people - aged 17 and younger - have been arrested after an attempted robbery in Hamilton


    About 9.30am yesterday, the group entered a dairy on Knighton Road, Hillcrest, armed with screwdrivers and poles.

    They fled when the dairy owner activated a fog cannon.

    Police have arrested a group of people found after a search by officers, using dogs and the Eagle helicopter.

    The youths have been referred to Youth Aid, and the 17-year-old will appear in Hamilton District Court today.

    A sixth person, wearing a dark green long sleeve top, is yet to be apprehended.
