    A top Comanchero has been convicted of a rare charge, alongside laundering millions of dollars


    Tyson Daniels - who is second in command of the gang exported here by Australian deportees - made a major U-turn and changed his pleas to guilty today.

    Herald reporter Sam Hurley was at the High Court in Auckland... where Daniels pleaded guilty to participating in an organised criminal group.

    Hurley says the charge is laid every now and then - but rarely results in a conviction.

    Auckland lawyer Andrew Simpson also pleaded guilty to helping the gang launder 2.4 million dollars through his law firm's trust account.
