Calls for e-scooter users and cyclists to keep their wheels off the footpath

Calls for e-scooter users and cyclists to keep their wheels off the footpath

The Government's seeking public feedback on proposals to allow e-scooters in cycle lanes, and bicycles on the footpath.

It's also looking at a15 kilometre-an-hour speed limit.

Blind Low Vision New Zealand's Chris Orr says since e-scooters arrived, blind pedestrians have struggled.

He says they clients have been hit by e-scooters... and been left stranded on the footpath.
