    Power has slowly been turned back on in Hawera

    Power has slowly been turned back on in Hawera


    More than 400 homes in the Taranaki town were without power after a reported lightning strike soon after 10 this morning.

    Powerco says the remaining dozen homes still without power should be back on by 4pm.
