A bombshell new political poll brings bad news for the National Party

The Newshub-Reid Research poll has the Opposition on just 30.6 per cent.

Meanwhile... Labour's up to 56.5 percent -- the highest any party's ever been in the poll.

Jacinda Ardern is pinned the most popular Prime Minister in the poll's history, up to 59.5 percent.

While National's Simon Bridges popularity has crashed down to just 4.5 -- a 6.1 percent drop.

The numbers mean Labour is propelled into a position where it could govern alone.
