Systems to prevent cheating will be in place as more NCEA exams move online

Systems to prevent cheating will be in place as more NCEA exams move online

Two thirds of the exams can now be delivered digitally, after a nearly 40 million dollar Government investment.

Education Minister Chris Hipkins says Covid-19 has seen schools turn to online teaching and learning - and now there's the opportunity for students to gain qualifications the same way.

He says NZQA have put robust systems in place to digitally monitor people who move away from their exams to browse other websites.

This year, the NCEA will offer 58 digital exams across 21 subjects at levels one, two and three.
