    Strength in numbers today in Auckland


    MOre than four hundred Ngati Whatua Orakei iwi and supporters did a six kilometre hikoi this morning -- from the marae to the High Court in the city centre.

    The hapu's taking legal action against a Crown Treaty settlement, that would give land in their territory to iwi elsewhere.

    Ngati Whatua Orakei Trust Chief Executive, Jamie Sinclair, says today shows their commitment to their culture and whanau.

    He says it's been amazing to be able to connect people to the history and story of their sacred sites -- and Tamaki Makaurau more widely.
