Four women have appeared in court in relation to the murder of a Wellington man

All are charged in relation to the death of 33-year-old Rau Tongia, killed at a Karori property in December.

Three of the women appeared at the High Court in Wellington this morning, including 24-year-old Shayde Weston and 20-year-old Phoenix Colvin.

The third, has interim name suppression.

All pleaded not guilty and were remanded in custody.

A few streets over at the District Court, a fourth woman made her first appearance in court, on charges related to the killing.

She too was remanded in custody.

A fifth person, a 19-year-old man, is due in court next week.
